From the final days of Pelter's Haulage, this eight legger is parked in the yard of the haulage firm where I served my time after leaving school. The wagons had all gone by the time I took this and now it is just another housing estate, as is Pelter's yard at Whittington. These firms were once the life blood of a village and are now viewed as evil monsters. | ||||||
